Judicial Proceeding Court Bonds are required by courts when a litigant is permitted some special right or remedy prior to final disposition of the case, which could cause the other party to be damaged. This type of bond is required for the protection of the opposing litigant.

suffered if an action is decided in favor of a defendant.
Defendant Bonds: A defendant bond guarantees payment of damages suffered if an action is decided in favor of the plaintiff.
